Article Source: http://www.articlesbase.com/ – Green Energy in emerging markets: Renewable investment, capacity growth and future prospects

Rapid growth in the economy and energy consumption required in non-OECD countries, an expansion in power generation. Governments are increasingly looking to develop renewable energies to power outages, the stunt development, and thus any government would be targets of raising living standards to be avoided.

Global economic and energy demand growth will be concentrated in developing countries so that there is much potential for the role of renewable energies to expand in emerging markets over the next two decades. Although conventional forms of energy dominate the energy mix, the expansion of power generation capacity in the emerging countries will be at least partly fed by the growth in wind, solar, biogas and hydropower

The BRIC. – Brazil, Russia, India and China – countries and other emerging countries face the dual challenge of promoting economic growth and reduce the environmental impact of their growth strategies.

While there is criticism that countries such as India and China shrank in knowing more firm commitments to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, yet these two countries give priority to developing renewable energy as part of its strategy to reduce the carbon intensity their economies per unit of GDP.

Therefore, the developing economies of the BRIC countries out playing an increasingly important role not only in the global economy, but also in the debate about climate change and the dynamics of global energy supply and demand.

Key findings

China will be a key market for wind energy in the next two decades. China National Energy Administration said that the country will more than double wind power capacity targets to 30GW by 2020. China is reported to invest at least 0BN the 30GW target by 2010 to achieve.

2030 will change non-OECD economies for 59% of global energy consumption, a significant increase of 49.8% in 2006. Also in 2030, non-OECD economies is emitting 25.8bn mt of carbon dioxide, or 64% of total emissions

Brazil has enormous potential for renewable energy by burning bagasse -. A waste product from sugar cane production – generate local heat and electricity.
In 2009, it is estimated that 8892 MW power will be made available from sugar cane with 3,600 MW for the market.

incentive systems are critical to the development of renewable energies over the next two decades. The report contains a detailed look at the many activities sponsored by the emerging countries, with particular emphasis on India.

Renewable energy policies are very different between the smaller emerging markets, starting with the promotion of solar electricity in the Czech Republic in order to focus on geothermal energy by the Government of Indonesia.

This report can …
• Achieve a quick and comprehensive understanding of the field of renewable energies in the large emerging countries.
• Implement up-to-date competitive intelligence through a comprehensive review of the various forms of renewable energy sources and different levels of development between countries.
• Evaluate the policy objectives of developing countries in relation to renewable energy sources and how they are driving capacity.
• Identify what forms of renewable energies and which markets have the greatest growth potential for renewable energies.
• Identify the key drivers and resistors to growth for all major renewable energy sources in each of the major emerging economies.

Other issues, including …

environmental requirements: – Up to 2006, non-OECD economies in the OECD exceeded energy related carbon dioxide emissions. In the meantime, BRIC countries, particularly China and India, an important role in emissions growth over the next two decades to play due to the fact that in each case, the robust economic growth and energy demand expansion. On the back of this are emerging under increasing international pressure to cut emissions and invest in renewable coming

legislative issues: -. As China has decided to become a leading emitter of GHGs, the Government also has the growth of clean renewable energy sources to help to fuel the economic expansion. This has promised in the country, nearly 350GW of renewable capacity by 2030 to install out. Faced with similar problems, many of the leading emerging countries adopt comprehensive national strategies to promote renewable energies

Government support for renewable energy: -. The cost of renewable energy remains above that for fossil-fired generation technologies. Why is necessary in this area substantial government support in the emerging countries to promote development. These include the implementation of large fixed tariffs for electricity generated and other support programs such as tax incentives

The future growth: -. Need rapid economic growth and energy consumption in non-OECD countries are supplied with advanced power generation. Meanwhile, a shift occur in a comprehensive policy on environmental issues at the same time. Together, these two issues will continue to combine significant investment in renewable energy in developing countries by 2030.
