Gaming Partners International Corporation (NASDAQ: GPIC) is currently trading at 6, up .5 or 9.06%. GPI, headquartered in Las Vegas, is the result of the merger of Bourgogne et Grasset (B&G), The Bud Jones Company, and Paul-Son Gaming Supplies, Inc under the leadership of B&G. The Group concentrates on products that are very sensitive to casinos, particularly chips and plaques but also dice, wheels, cards, and associated products such as layouts and gaming tables. All the latest collections of plaques have new designs that also integrate new security options such as embedded microchips. Along with B&G™ roulette wheels made in France, GPI distributes precision Bud Jones dice, synthetic and felt layouts and Paulson® chips. GPI is the developer and manufacturer of these products and generally does direct sales to legal casinos all over the world.
Today, GPI has announced that is has received orders from all 9 casinos currently operating and licensed to operate table games in Pennsylvania. It will supply table games equipment consisting of gaming tables, casino chips and other table games equipment to the casinos. Table games were legalized in Pennsylvania at the beginning of the year, and GPI recently received the necessary conditional licenses by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board to conduct business in the state. The company has orders to provide a total of over 400 of its custom-built games to six of the state’s casinos, including poker, blackjack, roulette, craps, baccarat, and other casino table games. GPI will also supply a total of over 2 million of its popular Paulson line of casino chips to eight casinos in Pennsylvania. Furthermore, it will be equipping the casinos with precision dice, table game layouts, playing cards and other related table games equipment, including casino seating from Gary Platt Manufacturing through its recently announced distribution agreement.
“The situation in Pennsylvania is very unique. Given the short period of time from the legalization of table games to the delivery and anticipated opening of these operations in casinos this summer, we are meeting the challenge,” commented Greg Gronau, President and CEO of GPI. “We want to thank each of our casino customers for their trust and confidence in our ability to produce and deliver these high-quality casino products in the required timeframe. We have already commenced delivery to some of these casinos and we look forward to equipping all of them for their upcoming openings.”
